Ironically, we could no longer afford to pollute the environment to cause more climate change than we already had, but by the time this started to happen, it was too late.  A tipping point had been reached.  Mother Nature began to respond to what we had done to her.  In the wake of her onslaught, we were forced to retreat to a world much like our ancient ancestors who lived in a feudal system known as the Dark Ages.
